Gold Coast United duo James Brown and Tahj Minniecon are in danger of missing the trip to take on Melbourne Victory this weekend because of illness.

The young guns were both bedridden today as the squad prepared for the vital clash with the Victory and coach Miron Bleiberg said they were in doubt.

"I don't know if they slept together or ate together but both of them have the same symptoms, but hopefully they will be right for tomorrow's training session," he quipped.

"They're both in my plans to play in Melbourne - Browny obviously was one of the heroes last week, and Tahj flies all the time at Etihad Stadium like an Etihad aeroplane, but we have players to cover them so it doesn't worry me, because we have the depth."

However, Bleiberg was confident that his side could continue their good recent run this weekend.

"It's an important game and it will tell us where we're standing. The fact that we haven't lost for eight games speaks for itself," he added.
