Gold Coast hit late winner to take full points over North Queensland
Gold Coast United have managed to take full points away from Townsville with a 2-1 win over the North Queensland Fury.
Adama Traore’s early opener was canceled out by Mark Hughes’ header just before the half-time break but Gold Coast were able to grab a late winner through Dino Djulbic who nodded home with six minutes remaining to give the visitors maximum points.
A-League Week 12
North Queensland Fury: 1 (Mark Hughes 45’)
Gold Coast United: 2 (Adama Traore 11’, Dino Djulbic 84’)
Venue: Dairy Farmers Stadium, Townsville
Crowd: 7,195

GOAL Gold Coast kicked off proceedings in great fashion when Zenon Caravella’s 11th minute through ball to James Brown was cut back for Adama Traore who finished neatly to give the visitors the lead.
GOAL North Queensland worked hard for a leveler and it came right on the stroke of half-time through centre-half Adam Hughes who didn’t really know too much about his header but nonetheless it found the target and allowed the Fury to get back on equal terms.
GOAL The home side seemed to be fighting a losing battle as Gold Coast came hard at them searching for a winner and it came with six minutes remaining when Dino Djulbic headed home a Robson cross to help move his side up to fourth on the table as the Fury were kept languishing in ninth.
