Gallas accepted major pay-cut to make Tottenham move

William Gallas has accepted a major pay-cut to sign with Tottenham.
The Mirror says the former Arsenal captain, 33, was offered £80,000-a-week to stay at the Emirates.
But Gallas believed he could get a better deal elsewhere. He had offers from Juventus and Panathinaikos, only for the interest to dry up after France’s World Cup nightmare.
It left Gallas having to swallow his pride and fit into Tottenham’s rigid pay structure on a £60,000-a-week, one-year deal.
Gallas will now become the first-ever player to star for Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.
