Fulham striker Kamara: I turned down Celtic in summer

Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara admits he could have joined Celtic in the summer.

The Senegal international joined the Hoops yesterday on-loan.

“In the summer I had some contact with Tony to come here but it was too early,” Kamara said. “I worked with him at West Brom and feel I did well there. He knows how I play and it was very, very important in my decision to come here because he’s Tony Mowbray.

“The project is not just for a few months. If I do well, I can sign a permanent transfer.”
