Fulham are ready to rival Liverpool for Aston Villa fullback Luke Young.

The Daily Mail says Young's decision to back out of a move from Aston Villa to Liverpool over fears of a lack of first team action could encourage Mark Hughes to make a move.

Hughes is ready to boost Fulham's squad with the £20 million transfer kitty he has been handed.
