Fulham matchwinner Jonathan Greening reserved praise for the club's new signings after their victory over Portsmouth.

Greening picked the perfect moment to open his account for Fulham, as he helped the Cottagers to their first win of 2010.

He told fulhamfc.com: "I thought Nicky Shorey was excellent, he's got a sweet left foot and you don't play for England if you’re not a good player. Stefano (Okaka) is a strong boy, he was unlucky with the header - I probably should have scored myself, I went for goal but it went to him.

"He doesn't speak much English at the moment but as his English improves the better it will be for him and all of us.”
