Frenchman Ciani trials with St Mirren

St Mirren have handed a trial to French midfielder Amick Ciani.

The Frenchman caught the eye of Buddies boss Danny Lennon during a bounce game while on trial at Kilmarnock.

"The lad impressed me in that closed-doors game for Kilmarnock and, when I found out they had not followed through on their initial interest in him, I invited Ciani in," said Lennon.

"I am only going to add players if they can convince me they are better than we already have. That is the golden rule. But I still have some room to manoeuvre within my budget in that respect."
