North Queensland Fury’s marquee man Robbie Fowler is finally satisfied after a good performance by the team.

The former Liverpool star netted the only goal as Fury defeated Sydney FC on Saturday night and was satisfied after the match because it brought about their first win in the competition.

''I've scored the past three weeks but previously we haven't got the win, but last night we did, which is more important than anyone scoring goals,'' Fowler said.

''It's our first win, it will go down in history of this club now, our first win and to do it in as good a place as Sydney, it's massive for us.''

Fowler admitted that the Fury were beginning to play better and gel as a team and hoped the quality of performances would start to escalate.

''We've got this first win and we can't afford to just accept it,'' he added.

''We've progressively got better as each week's gone by ... we've set ourselves standards and it's up to us to take it from there.''
