Football 1-0 Coronation Street!

Coronation Street is to move from its Wednesday night slot after almost 50 years.

Corrie, along with Emmerdale, will now be shown Thursday nights as part of a major overhaul of the ITV schedule.

An ITV spokesperson said that the changes will "reflect ITV's contracts for the Champions League, FA Cup and England internationals, which will see ITV1's live football broadcast on Wednesday evenings."

Whilst I love football, i don't really agree with them moving a programme like Cornonation Street to accomodate it. I will probably get slated for having the opinion but I feel sorry for the older generation who have a routine and are used to it being on a Wednesday. Seems trivial to us but I think the money on offer is the only thought in this move.
Can anyone fill me in as to what footy they are putting on wednesdays? Have ITV and Sky switched champo league nights? Or is it purely for England matches?
