FIFA experts say Man Utd striker Rooney had outstanding World Cup

FIFA's technical experts say Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney had an outstanding World Cup!

Rooney did not score in any of England's four games in South Africa and appeared to have been affected by an injury picked up towards the end of last season.

FIFA's technical report, which has been published today, picks out Rooney, Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard as England's outstanding players.

Rooney is described as a "hard-working, energetic striker; worked hard for team; good technique".

The report was put together by FIFA's 16-man technical study group, including former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier and ex-Scotland boss and now UEFA technical director Andy Roxburgh.

heskey was worse mate.he even put our captain out

Rooney had an absolutely woeful WC. That's two WC finals tournaments, 8 games and ZERO goals for that fucktard.
Opta stats showed him to have lost the ball on 55 occasions, far more than any other player at the WC so how the ***** FIFA can say he had a good WC is beyond me..
Cole and Gerrard were england's best players, that I agree with.
Rooney and Barry were England's worst performers and that was clear to see.
