Ferguson ponders massive Man Utd clearout

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is planning a major shake up of his squad.

The Times says Edwin van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak will depart, with Owen Hargreaves, Michael Carrick, Michael Owen, Wes Brown, Gary Neville and Ji-Sung Park under pressure.

The futures of veteran pair Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs are also in doubt.

Neither are yet to decide on their futures but it is hoped they will ink new one-year contracts.
