Ferguson challenges Hargreaves to make Man Utd squad for AC Milan

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson wants Owen Hargreaves to prove his fitness in time for their Champions League date with AC Milan.

Hargreaves is back in training at Carrington following surgery on both knees in December 2008 and January 2009.

Ferguson said: "I would like to see him make the squad for the Champions League fixtures against AC Milan, but we won't rush him.

"We are being patient with the rehabilitation following his knee operations and he is alternating his training with the reserve and first-team squads, working for two days and then resting a day.

"It's a matter of him regaining his confidence and, when he is able to train every day, that will be the moment for him to return to match play."

What a terrible signing along with Louis Saha. Both quality players unfortunately both seem injury prone.Hargreaves has been coming back since November last year.I rate his confidence in his knees is lacking wich is understandable
