Farina to sue Brisbane Roar
Former Brisbane Roar coach Frank Farina will sue the club for more than $325,000 compensation after he was sacked from the job in October.
The ex-Australia national team boss ‘alleges the Queensland Roar FC Pty Limited and the Queensland Roar FC Partnership - the companies behind the Brisbane Roar - terminated his contract in a way that significantly damaged his reputation as a football coach’.
Farina was sacked after being caught drink-driving on his way to a weekend training session but is now suing the club to pay out his contract from the date he was fired - October 14 - until February 28, 2011.
He also alleges that comments made about him by Roar officials following the incident have been harmful to his reputation. No court date has been set for the hearing.

Farina actually had his own son in the car when he got caught drink-driving. What an irresponsible fool. What reputation as a coach he wants to be compensated for? The one that achieved nothing for Australia and for the Roar and who had a drinking problem? Please.
Spot on King. Farina should be sued for the damage he did to Australian football under his tenure ... all those dismal failures...30 Million should do the trick
pretty sure YOU damaged your reputation by drink-driving on the way to training. When will people learn to accept responsibilities for their own actions, instead of trying to sue everyone
