Ex-Villa stars tweet support for Houllier
New York Red Bulls captain Juan Pablo Angel has joined the Aston Villa debate over Gerard Houllier's appointment.
Angel, who scored more than 50 goals for the claret and blues between 2001 and 2007 but now plays for the New York Red Bulls in the MLS, gave his seal of approval on the social networking website.
He told his 49,000 followers: "Interesting choice Houllier new Villa manager!! Wishing him well! Up the Villa".
His message was picked up by Holte End legend, Ian Taylor, who replied directly to Angel with his own take on events.
Taylor said: "I know Juan. We'll see how he does."
