Ex-Man Utd star Ince takes reins at Notts County
Ince replaces Craig Short, who stepped down on Sunday, signing a deal which will see him at the helm of the club until summer 2014 providing all goes well.
Chairman Ray Trew was delighted to share the announcement that the former Blackburn Rovers boss was now in charge at Meadow Lane.
"Paul has a wealth of experience as a player and a solid track record as a manager in the Football League, making him the obvious choice for me," Trew said.
"There were a number of high-calibre applications for the position and it was encouraging to see just how attractive a proposition managing Notts County remains to some very prestigious names in the world of football management.
"However, when we met Paul it quickly became clear that he was the ideal candidate, he'd done his homework, had some big ideas and was ready to get stuck in straight away."
The Magpies become the fourth club the43-year old has overseen since beginning his coaching career 2006 with Macclesfield Town. His most recent coaching stint was with MK Dons where he last worked in May this year.
