Ex-Man Utd defender Curtis looking to get back amongst it with Gold Coast United
Gold Coast United defender John Curtis is hoping he can get back to action following a couple of matches out due to suspension.
The former Manchester United man has seen just over two hours of game time since joining the A-League from Northampton Town and after getting red-carded less than a minute after coming on against Sydney FC last week, is keen to get back on the park.
"I led with my arm and the referee thought there was some intent there,” Curtis told the Gold Coast Bulletin.
"The same decision probably wouldn't have been handed down in England but you have to accept these things.
"I just want to move on and I'm just desperate to get on the field again.”
Curtis will be back in contention for a start when Gold Coast take on league leaders Adelaide United at Skilled Park on Sunday.
