Ex-Hull boss Brown reveals Southampton talks

Former Hull City boss Phil Brown is chasing the job at Southampton.

Brown has confirmed holding talks with Southampton chairman Nicola Cortese over the vacant manager's job.

Brown, out of work since leaving Hull City earlier this year, met Cortese on Monday to discuss succeeding Alan Pardew.

Brown said: "It was very interesting, there's a very, very ambitious board. It is an ambitious club and certainly one that does interest me."
