Ex-Celtic boss Mowbray tipped to take over at Middlesbrough

Former Celtic, West Bromwich Albion and Hibernian boss Tony Mowbray is tipped to follow Gordon Strachan’s path from Parkhead to the Riverside.

The former Boro defender looks likely to step into the managerial role at the club after Strachan stood down after less than a year in the job.

Mowbray, known to Boro fans as ‘Mogga’, was sacked from his post at Celtic in March after a run of poor results and is now being heavily tipped to pick up the slack left by Strachan who led the Teessiders to 20th on the Championship table with just 11 points from 11 matches.
