Former Brazil international striker Dodo wants a move to MLS next year.

Dodo is currently serving a doping ban, but told local TV yesterday that he hopes to have the suspension overturned and continue his career in the States.

The 34 year-old striker is currently tied to Brazilian club Fluminense.

Dodo tested positive for fenproporex after Botafogo, his former club, beat Vasco 4-0 in a Brazilian league match on June 14, 2007.

He was initially suspended for 30 days, but Brazil's highest sports court annulled the suspension after he passed two other doping tests. World governing body FIFA and the World Anti-Doping Agency both filed appeals in September 2007 requesting a ban.

CAS said Dodo failed to demonstrate that he bore "no significant fault or negligence" for the presence of the banned substance in his urine samples. The ruling did not affect any of Botafogo's results.

Fenproporex, a stimulant that the body converts to amphetamine, is used in some diet medications.
