Middlesbrough midfielder Gary O'Neil is a target for Everton.
The People says Everton boss David Moyes hopes to sign O'Neil from Middlesbrough for a bargain £2million.
Moyes chased the gifted star in the last transfer window, but doubts about O'Neil's fitness and a near £4m price tag put him off.
But now Moyes has made a personal check on O'Neil ahead of a New Year offer.
O'Neil will not commit to a long-term deal at Boro and Fulham are also in the hunt.
