Everton chief executive Robert Elstone has confirmed their interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Moutinho.
Moutinho, who has been on Toffees boss David Moyes' radar for a couple of years, and Djalo helped inspire Sporting to Europa League victory over Everton last week.
Everton, who were soundly beaten in Portugal by Sporting, admit they have an interest in the attacking duo.
"We are always looking for good players and we have seen several times how good Moutinho is," Elstone told Portuguese daily A Bola.
"I was at the press conference when Phil Neville highlighted Moutinho's quality - and we are always looking to strengthen, so who knows?"
Whilst the interest in Moutinho is long-standing, the interest in forward Djalo appears to be new.
But Elstone is also aware of him, saying: "Of course I know him. It is absolutely clear that he is a good player."
