Everton boss Moyes warns Anichebe to work harder
Everton boss David Moyes has told Victor Anichebe he still has a long way to go to secure his Goodison Park future.
Anichebe, 21, was livid after Moyes blocked a loan move to Hull City last season.
But after returning from long-term injury, he has found himself back in favour lately and scored against Birmingham last week.
Moyes said: "The penny is beginning to drop with him.
"In the modern game, you must work hard in training and it makes your job at the weekend easier. The lad has all the attributes to be a good modern-day footballer.
"But he has to work harder at his game.
"He has to decide how much he wants it and the way you show it is by what you do on the field. We have shown confidence in him by giving him a run in the team and a chance to show what he can do.
"He knows how we feel. We like him, he must just give more."
