Everton boss Moyes targets Portsmouth's Distin

Everton boss David Moyes is seeking talks with Portsmouth for defender Sylvain Distin.

Moyes is understood to have named Portsmouth's Sylvain Distin as his next target after successfully completing the signing of Diniyar Bilayeltdinov from Lokomotiv Moscow.

Portsmouth are likely to hold out for the full £5 million price tag they have put on Distin, and according to the Liverpool Echo, if talks between the coastal club and Everton continue as they are, the 31-year-old could be joining Moyes by this weekend.
