Everton’s Neville could never play for Man City
Everton captain Phil Neville would never be able to play for Manchester City.
The former Manchester United star who joined the Toffees in August 2005, insists if the opportunity ever arose for him to join City, he could not take it as his Manchester allegiance clearly lies with the Red Devils.
“Joining City is not something that will ever happen. When you have got red blood you cannot see yourself with blue blood,” Neville said.
"You go there and they have blue ketchup... it's just like 'What are they doing?'.
"I am not being disrespectful to City. I grew up a red, hating Manchester City. When I go back with Everton I get absolutely slaughtered.
"It makes me laugh in a way because I understand what they are feeling. I think it is fantastic as it makes football special."

Joe0161: sorry mate but we did have blue ketchup. I hate the nevilles, im from Bury (their home town) and its swimming with neville lovers, a set of brainless *****. Phil in fairness is the most likeable of the lot but is still a twat! The blue ketchup he is referring to only happened once, on derby day a few years back but it was only in the hospitality suites as it was created by the head chef, so us normal fans only got to read about it! Anyway why would neville make this comment?? WE WOULDNT WANT YOU ANYWAY YOU INBRED TWAT!
We are absolutely gutted with this statement. We will now have to completely re-think not only our short term transfer dealings, but also our long term strategy for the club, as in one foul swoop we have not only lost our intended Captain, but also our fture Manager and stability of this great football club. We retain the hope that he has a change of heart in the future. Regards MCFC.
