Everton are chasing Tottenham fullback Alan Hutton.

The News of the World says the Scottish right-back has failed to settle in London and has started just one Premier League game this season.

Hutton, 24, told friends his lack of action is having a detrimental effect on his Scotland performances.

But Tottenham would be looking to recoup at least half the £9million they shelled out on the former Rangers star in January 2008.

Hutton was linked with a move to Sunderland at the end of the last transfer window, in exchange for Anton Ferdinand.
