Evergreen Muscat suffers hamstring strain
Melbourne Victory captain Kevin Muscat suffered a hamstring strain last night that could keep him out for up t a month.
Muscat, who played every minute of every match last season, added to the Victory’s woes in their 2-0 season opening loss to Central Coast Mariners.
"It was a huge stretch of the hamstring,'' Victory coach Ernie Merrick said. "We won't know until he has a scan, but it doesn't look good. It's a full-blow hamstring.''
If Merrick loses Muscat, which is expected, he will be forced to reshuffle his back four which he didn’t really have to last term.
