Evans admits Man Utd stars cagey about letting people in

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has revealed how senior players are cagey with youngsters when they first join the squad.

Evans says United's big-name stars are reluctant to open up due to pressure from the media.

He explained to BBC Northern Ireland: “It’s hard to explain to people because it wasn’t really until I came into the squad that you realise how cautious they (big-name players) are.

"You can understand it in a way because you might say something to someone and it gets passed on and ends up in the papers, that’s how easily it happens.

"They do keep a lot of things close to them like personal stuff which you can understand and that’s just the way everyone is really.”
