Wigan Athletic are a professional club based in Wigan, Greater Manchester. Founded in 1932, the Latics, as they are known, are winners of one second division title, one third division title and two Football League trophies. Their biggest triumph to date is the 1-0 victory in the 2013 FA Cup final over hot favourites Manchester City. Wigan were relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2012/13 season after first entering the top flight in 2005.
