Former Fiorentina midfielder Stefan Effenberg believes Luca Toni needs to quit Bayern Munich.

Toni is struggling to win over the confidence of Bayern coach Louis van Gaal and Effenberg said: "I think Toni cannot count on the consideration of Van Gaal.

"The support of your coach is a vital thing for a player, especially if you are recovering from an injury."
