Dundee Utd striker snapped up by Hamilton

Hamilton have swooped for striker Damian Casalinuovo from SPL rivals Dundee United for an undisclosed fee.

Casalinuovo scored eight goals in 30 appearances for United last season, but had not featured for Peter Houston's side this term.

United accepted an offer for the Argentine-born Italian forward on deadline day afternoon and the move was completed just after 11pm.

The 23-year-old has signed a two-year contract to join Accies and could be in contention for his debut at home to Rangers after the international break.
