Dossena now wants to stay with Liverpool

After being quoted he would love to play for Juventus, Andrea Dossena has now backtracked claiming he wants to stay in Liverpool.

The Italian international blamed the journalists for inventing rumours regarding an early return to Serie A.

"I never said I want to leave Liverpool," insisted Dossena.

"It is the journalists’ fault. They keep on writing that I want to return to Italy but the truth is that I want to play for Liverpool."
