Dodd urges Adelaide to improve performances

Adelaide United skipper Travis Dodd has urged his teammates to produce a better performance to get their season back on track.

The Reds experienced their second home defeat this season, this time at the hands of arch rivals Melbourne Victory on Friday night and Dodd expects a much better output when Adelaide meet North Queensland Fury in Townsville.

“Two wins out of five games at home (in the opening seven rounds), it’s not good enough,” Dodd said after the loss to the Victory.

“We need to get our act together quick smart because it’s getting to that stage now, where every game is becoming a crunch game for us.

“We need to sort ourselves out in front of goal and we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us. The goals will come, we just need someone to get the first one.”

The Reds are currently 7th on the A-League table, sitting two points ahead of the bottom-placed Fury.

They meet at Dairy Farmers Stadium at 5:00pm AEST this Sunday September 27.
