Spain coach Vicente del Bosque says this year's Ballon d'Or should go to a world champion.
Del Bosque insists either of Barcelona pair Xavi or Andres Iniesta deserve to collect the gong.
"Do they deserve the Ballon d'Or? None of us here doubt this. They are both the best in the world," Del Bosque said.

Hell no.. No disrespect to those two players. they performed really well last season, but for me the choice is obvious: Wesley Sneider. Ok he didnt Win the world cup, but he was in the final and took his team there by playing impressively and scoring A LOT of goals, as a midfielder no less. Furthermore he won the serie A, champions league and the italian cup, and was a major part of his teams success in all competitions.. There is only one Choice and its Wesley. Ronaldo isnt even close, and with Messis world cup in mind, neither is he..
I agree...for the Balloon it has to be the player with the most impact...they first have to win the domestic league and then the continental title and then finally any major tournament like the world cup and be very involved in the build-up/decisive factors in those game...Iniesta would win based on above but there is also a professional people voting and i would go with go with Xavi though its really close...and no i do not think Rooney is in the same class...instead Messi & Ronaldo are the first 2 names that comes to mind...
