Dann hails Birmingham character after Everton draw
Birmingham City defender Scott Dann says they showed great spirit in their 2-2 draw with Everton on the weekend.
Blues looked to be heading for a disappointing afternoon at the weekend as David Moyes' side raced into a two goal lead, but a quickfire reply from Cameron Jerome and a debut goal from Craig Gardner secured a deserved point for Alex McLeish's side.
"Being a Liverpool fan getting back into the game against Everton added a little something extra," Dann told bcfc.com.
"I'd got family and friends in the crowd at both ends. It was nice to get the draw, but it would have been even better if we'd got the three points.
"We gave them a head start and you can't really do that against teams like Everton because they punish you.
"We came out slowly and conceded two sloppy goals and we were quite disappointed about that.
"But we then showed the spirit that we have all season and got ourselves back into the game and I think we were the ones pushing for the win in the end."
