Curbishley not in mix for Hull City job

Hull City chairman Adam Pearson has rubbished claims that Alan Curbishley is in the mix for the manager’s role.

Pearson said the former Charlton Athletic and West Ham boss would not be replacing Phil Brown who was axed after Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal that left the Tigers just three points above the drop zone.

"He's not on the (shortlist),” Pearson told Radio Humberside about Curbishley.

"We're probably looking at a deal to the end of the season.

“We will then ascertain where we are and what we've got financially before committing further than that.

"Alan is a fantastic manager but it needs to be someone we can get in on a nine-game basis. He is not on that list."
