Corry Evans is determined to make the most of his chance on tour with Manchester United.

The 19-year-old, who has yet to make a competitive first-team appearance, sees the five-match schedule as an ideal time to listen and learn from the likes of veterans Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.

Evans, who looks comfortable in either midfield or defence, has played a part in United's two victories against Celtic last week and Philadelphia Union on Wednesday.

The next step is to try and emulate Jonny, who has made rapid strides as a central defender in the last two years.

"It has been a great few months for me and I want it to keep going," said the Northern Ireland prospect. "I hope I can build on what I have achieved so far and have another successful season.

"It is nice to have Jonny here as well, but I have been mingling with all the lads throughout.

"I have already learnt so much from this experience. The way the likes of 'Scholesy' and 'Giggsy' handle themselves on and off the pitch is fantastic and a great example for us.

"They are players you can learn a lot from and I have enjoyed every minute so far. The tempo in training is always at the highest possible level and the lads always want to win. You see that out on the pitch as well and to be here is just a real privilege."
