Cops warn Blackburn ace Dunn of Burnley fans paint plot

Local police have foiled a fans plot to paint the home of Blackburn Rovers ace David Dunn Claret and Blue!

The People says Dunn, one of the few Rovers stars to live in the area, was tipped off by the police's Football Intelligence Unit that his home may be hit in the build-up to the derby clash at Turf Moor.

He has always been proud of his Rovers roots, taunting the long-time rivals at times and scoring a glorious goal against them at Ewood Park at the start of the season.

Now Dunn has been singled out for an 'attack' from Clarets supporters who want to have the last laugh by painting his house in their colours.

Some Burnley supporters staged a dawn raid on Blackburn before the sides met and put a Burnley strip on Jack Walker's statue outside the ground.

That was considered more of a light-hearted joke while damaging Dunn's property would be far more of an offence.
