Cooper signs new Hull City contract

Liam Cooper has signed a new contract with Hull City.

Defender Cooper has signed a new three-year-deal, the Barclays Premier League strugglers have confirmed.

The 18-year-old made his senior debut in the Carling Cup clash against Swansea in August 2008.

He has since made two Premier League appearances for the Tigers, including the 2-1 defeat by Arsenal last weekend.

The announcement coincided with the unveiling at the KC Stadium of Iain Dowie as the new Tigers boss following the sacking of Phil Brown.
