Peschisolido upset leaving Derby
Paul Peschisolido is backing Derby boss Billy Davies to keep the club in the Premiership next season - despite being cut loose by the Scot this summer.
"I was very disappointed not to get a chance to play in the Premier League," said Peschisolido.
"But there have been so many plusses in my career, I'm not going to start sulking about it. It would be pointless focusing on the negatives.
" I'm just glad I got the opportunity to put the club back into the Premier League. What a way to go.
"I loved my time at Derby. When you spend three years at a club, you make a lot of friends, and I'll be keeping a close eye on their results next season.
"When you look at the fans, the stadium, the facilities - the whole set-up - it's already a Premiership club. It was fabulous to be a part of it.
"Billy Davies is a great, great manager and he'll give them a terrific chance of staying up."
