Newcastle boss Allardyce slams foreign coaching invasion
He is concerned that British managers are a dying breed and believes that the English game will soon feel the effects of the European imports.
"None of the foreign coaches or managers are any better than what comes through this country," Allardyce told the Sunday Sun.
"We seem to think we don't need to look after our own and we do. All the other countries do.
"They wouldn't be so affable about employing foreign coaches like we do, certainly not in Holland, Italy, Spain or Germany. We have to look at what we have within. We are all qualified."
Allardyce points to the increasing number of foreign owners of English clubs as a major cause of the perceived problem.
"Alan Curbishley (West Ham manager) brought it to my attention," Allardyce added.
"He said, 'do you realise that with more foreign owners coming in there is less chance of managing clubs in our own country?'
"The consequences are the same as not developing your own players. English managers will think, 'what is the point?'
"The long-term effect will be a lack of desire, top players who have the capabilities of becoming top coaches won't end up doing it."
