Leitch confident Motherwell will name manager this week

Motherwell assistant boss Scott Leitch expects the new manager to be named this week.

Leitch said: "The players will be coming back on the 28th so that will give the manager time to prepare.

"Hopefully, the manager will have a week to assess everything at the club.

"Next week I think there will be something happening, that's what I've been told.

"I have been talking to the players and tying up the loose ends that were happening before I came in.

"I'm sure when the new manager comes in he will have his own thoughts and we'll be speaking about different things.

"The manager will want to make his own decisions and I will back them 100%."
