Blackburn suffer FA charge
Blackburn have been charged with misconduct by the Football Association as a result of their players' behaviour during the game with Newcastle on 1st March.
The FA have alleged that Rovers were guilty of "failing to ensure that their players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion" in the match at St James' Park, which they won 1-0 thanks to a last-minute goal by Matt Derbyshire.
The charge relates to an incident involving Newcastle defender Habib Beye and Blackburn winger Morten Gamst Pedersen tussled over who had been awarded a throw-in which led to a mass confrontation involving both benches.
Both players were booked at the time and after reviewing the incident the FA have decided to charge Blackburn.
Blackburn have until 25th March to respond to the charge.
