Conditions in Jinan will be fine – Adelaide’s Mullen

Adelaide United’s head coach for their Asian Champions League campaign, Joe Mullen, says the weather conditions for this afternoon’s clash with Shandong Luneng will be fine.

Despite forecast snow for the second group stage match, Mullen said pitch conditions were perfect and there shouldn’t be a problem at Jinan’s Shandong Stadium.

“The pitch it looks flat, it looks green, I don't think there can be any excuses for what we can see from the pitch at all," Mullen said yesterday.

"Conditions out there will be fine, I'm sure.

"Although it's a lot colder they will acclimatise very well.

"If it snows tomorrow I don't many of our players have played in snow.

"However by and large they should be fine with it."
