In those days, players play football for the passion towards it. But now it is about money. The world is changing. Financial crises here and there. They need the cash. And again, if a player is not in form, his club gets rid of him within a minute. Money is nowadays the issue and this is because teams, too, vie for money. Arsenal buys young players at 1, 1.5, 2 or 2.5 million pounds and sells them at 15 million or so. Don't complain, man. If you are paid a penny short or less, you too will surely say BYE.
