Columbus Crew unlucky to exit play-offs – Schelotto

Columbus Crew star Guillermo Barros Schelotto believes his team was unlucky to be eliminated in the first round of MLS play-offs.

Crew went down on penalties to Colorado Rapids, after the two-match series ended 2-2 after extra-time, but Schelotto could sleep easy knowing his side were only beaten by bad luck.

“I think we are better than Colorado, but they got to the second round,” he said. “Congratulations to them, but I feel we are better.

“We played much better than them in the 120 minutes. We had to win the game. I know they had a lot of chances in the first game in Colorado, but not like we had today.”
