Columbus Crew’s Schelotto delighted to see MLS improving
Columbus Crew star Guillermo Barros Schelotto is thrilled to see the standard of MLS improving.
The 37-year old Argentine midfielder has seen the recent addition of players like Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez at New York Red Bull and Nery Castillo at Chicago Fire and is of firm belief that these names are set to make the competition grow.
"The league is bringing big players like Henry, (Nery) Castillo, (Rafael) Marquez," he told USA Today. "Everyone needs to be getting better, because we will play against them."
At his age, Schelotto is always linked with a return to his homeland but for the moment, he is happy in Columbus where things are enjoyable.
“I think it's very quiet, it's very safe for the family," he added. "I can enjoy the street outside the house. Everything I do, I can enjoy."
