Newcastle defender Fabricio Coloccini insists he turned down a number of offers in the summer to remain with the Championship side.
The international defender has hit out at claims that the only reason he is still at St James' Park is because he had no offers to move elsewhere.
"I was annoyed. People were saying the only reason I wasn't going anywhere was because there weren't any offers," the 27 year old is quoted by the Sun
.
"That wasn't true. The club and myself were getting a lot of offers."
