Chicago Fire assistant Shore installed as Miami FC coach
USSF Division 2 club Miami FC announced today the hiring of Daryl Shore as the fourth head coach in franchise history. Shore takes over the managerial duties of the club as the Blues fight towards earning a playoff berth for the 2010 season.
"My family and I are excited to return to South Florida. I understand that Miami FC and South Florida are a tight-knit community, and we as South Florida's soccer vteam have one goal and that is to reach the play-offs. Once we get to the playoffs it's a new season," said newly appointed Head Coach Daryl Shore.
Shore joins the organization after spending 10 years as an assistant coach for the Chicago Fire of MLS. During his successful tenure in Chicago, Shore also took on a number of responsibilities with the Fire as the Director of Youth Development while also serving as an assistant coaching director of the Chicago Fire Juniors.
