Chelsea star Joe Cole is a bookworm!

The Mail on Sunday caught the England midfielder clutching one of the first copies of Dan Brown’s new blockbuster, The Lost Symbol, freshly purchased on the first day of publication.

The secretive freemasons are central to the plot and the opening chapter deals with the mysterious disappearance of a man called Peter.

Coincidentally, Peter Kenyon announced his departure from the club from the following day!
