Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to compete for Liverpool striker Fernando Torres this summer.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini confirmed their interest in Torres this week with reports claiming the player's minders have already sounded out Eastlands' chiefs about the prospect of a move.
